These SMS Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern participation in the Longy School of Music SMS Notification Program.

By voluntarily enrolling in the SMS Notification Program, you agree to these Terms.


1. Program Description

The Longy School of Music SMS Notification Program provides currently enrolled students with recurring informational text messages related to their enrollment and participation at Longy School of Music.

Messages may include, but are not limited to:

  • Registration reminders
  • Course schedule updates
  • Advising appointment reminders
  • Faculty schedule changes
  • Academic deadlines
  • Campus notifications
  • Other academic or administrative communications related to your enrollment

This messaging program is used exclusively for educational and operational communications.

Longy School of Music does not use this SMS program to send:

  • Marketing messages
  • Promotional offers
  • Advertising
  • Fundraising solicitations

2. Eligibility

Only currently enrolled students who voluntarily opt in through the Longy Student Portal are eligible to participate in this SMS Notification Program.

You must be the authorized user of the mobile phone number used to enroll.

3. How to Opt In

Enrollment in the SMS Notification Program is voluntary.

To enroll:

  1. Log in to the Longy Student Portal.
  2. Navigate to the SMS Communication Preferences page.
  3. Review the SMS program information.
  4. Review the SMS Privacy Policy and SMS Terms & Conditions.
  5. Select the SMS consent checkbox (unchecked by default).
  6. Click Save Preferences.

After successfully enrolling, Longy School of Music will send a confirmation text message acknowledging your subscription.

No recurring SMS messages are sent unless affirmative consent has been provided.

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies.

The number of SMS messages you receive depends on your registration activity, academic schedule, advising appointments, course updates, campus notifications, and other student services communications.

5. Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless carrier and service plan.

6. Opting Out

You may unsubscribe from the SMS Notification Program at any time by replying:

STOP

to any Longy School of Music SMS message.

After opting out, you may receive one final confirmation message confirming that your subscription has been cancelled.

No additional messages will be sent unless you voluntarily enroll again through the Student Portal.

Additional supported opt-out keywords may include:

  • STOP
  • STOPALL
  • END
  • CANCEL
  • QUIT
  • UNSUBSCRIBE

8. Consent

By voluntarily enrolling in the SMS Notification Program, you acknowledge that:

  • You consent to receive recurring informational SMS messages from Longy School of Music.
  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Consent is not a condition of admission, enrollment, or receiving educational services.
  • You may withdraw your consent at any time by replying STOP.

9. Delivery Disclaimer

SMS delivery depends on your wireless carrier and network availability.

Longy School of Music cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered or received without delay.

Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

10. Privacy

Your participation in the SMS Notification Program is also governed by the Longy School of Music SMS Privacy Policy.

The SMS Privacy Policy explains how Longy collects, uses, stores, and protects your information.

11. Changes to These Terms

Longy School of Music may update these Terms from time to time.

Any revisions will be posted with a new Effective Date.

Continued participation in the SMS Notification Program after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
